I made this mini surfboard by rolling out a slab, then free-handing the cut with a reference photo. For the paint job I also took reference to some photos, using the inspiration to do the contrasting blues for detailing and some subtle pastels for small designs. I really like this piece and was quite happy with it's outcome, the only thing I would've done was remember to add a hole to hang.

This piece ended up breaking, I had seen a picture of an old kids toy I use to play with and decoded to make a little 3d wall hanging. I had made a slab and then cut it's initial shape, after I cut out the lips and slices of butter separately, which were then scored and slipped on. I had left this project outside uncovered a little too long, and with ungentle handling it cracked down the middle.
