For my first piece I had been finding these ideas on pinterest of simple slab wall hanging with delicate and detailed front door designs. I really like them so I wanted to try, my first attempt is the first photo and after leaving it over the weekend it cracked. So the second picture is the actual piece, i spent lots of time on making the title pattern and chose relief carving style just to give the piece some depth, same as the door. For glazing and detail patterns I didn't want to try anything crazy in case I hated it cause I was really happy with how my piece was coming along, so in my mind I kinda was thinking a little house in Greece inspired by the sleek white houses with different shades of blue for detailing. I made the doorway yellow for some warmth, and slipped and scored a little heart on just for fun above the doorway. In the window I made two little "scenes" one of just a blue sky with a sun and some clouds, the other some cute little flowers. I am absolutely so happy with how this turned out, there is simply nothing I would have done differently I am very proud, and can't wait to make a little series of them with more extravagant concepts.

For my second piece not a lot of thought, and or, planning went into this if I'm being honest. But I wanted to slump mold for fun and then when I saw the shape I thought apple or orange, but honestly didn't really want to give someone something that was red or orange so I though of making it a lemon. And by that point I decided it would be a present for my nona since she has yet to receive a piece from me. So I painted it simply like a lemon and to add some detailing instead of a light glisten line I used some dot art to add a little extra something special. On the left you see a picture with like a big white circle, my initially idea was to make one of the sonny angel faces but it proved to not be a good set up to try and paint that much, but I do plan on following through with the sonny angels.
